The Wedding SingerJune 24 - July 11, 2010

Music by  Matthew Sklar, Book by  Chad Beguelin and Tim Herlihy, Lyrics by  Chad Beguelin, Based on the New Line Cinema film written by Tim Herlihy
John Simpkins, Director / MK Lawson, Choreographer / Michael Berkeley, Musical Director

Nominated for five Tony Awards, The Wedding Singer brings the sweet and funny Adam Sandler-Drew Barrymore movie to heartwarming life as a wonderful new musical.  With a score that pays loving homage to the pop songs of the 1980s, The Wedding Singer offers three weddings, a bar mitzvah and a zany trip to a Vegas chapel of love, keeping things hopping in this affectionate look back at the ‘80s – when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer just might be the coolest guy in the room.  Don’t miss this chance to see the musical Newsday called “One big party!  A good natured, high-energy musical.”

"The Wedding Singer is among the most ingenious and amusing musical adaptations of a Hollywood film ever to reach Broadway."— The Wall Street Journal

"A LOT OF LAUGHS AND A GOOD TIME! A cheerful, crowd-pleasing new musical with an easygoing story, a zesty stack of songs, (and) lively dancing.” — The Star-Ledger

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling BeeJuly 16 - 25, 2010

Music and Lyrics by  William Finn, Book by  Rachel Sheinkin
Andrew Volkoff, Director / DJ Gray, Choreographer / Dan Koch, Musical Director

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Is a hilarious tale of overachievers' angst chronicling the experience of six adolescent outsiders vying for the spelling championship of a lifetime. The show's Tony Award-winning creative team, including composer/lyricist William Finn (Falsettos and Falsettoland) has created the unlikeliest of hit musicals about the unlikeliest of heroes: a quirky yet charming cast of outsiders for whom a spelling bee is the one place where they can stand out and fit in at the same time. These six young people, in the throes of puberty, overseen by grownups, who barely managed to escape childhoods themselves, learn that winning isn’t everything and that losing doesn’t necessarily make you a loser. Audience members are invited to participate onstage in the bee. Great fun for all!

"Can you spell i-r-r-e-s-i-s-t-i-b-l-e? 'Spelling Bee' is riotously funny and remarkably ingenious. Gold stars all around."— New York Times

“Perfect in every possible way – that rarity of rarities, a super-smart musical that is also a bona fide crowd pleaser.” — Wall Street Journal

OKLAHOMA!August 5 - 22, 2010

Music by Richard Rodgers, Book by Oscar Hammerstein II, Lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II, Based on the play "Green Grow the Lilacs" by Lynn Riggs, Original Dances by Agnes de Mille
Mark Robinson, Director / Bethany Elkin, Choreographer / Michael Berkeley, Musical Director

Oklahoma! is more than a musical -- it is a landmark of American musical theatre history. With its seamlessly integrated music, lyrics, story, and characters, from the moment we hear Curley sing the opening bars of Oh What A Beautiful Morning, the audience is transported into the world of one of the most loved musical romances of all time.  Based on Lynn Riggs’ Green Grow the Lilacs, the Rodgers & Hammerstein score features such musical theatre classics as Oh What A Beautiful Morning, Surrey With The Fringe On Top, People Will Say We're In Love and, of course, Oklahoma!  Oklahoma!, the only American musical to have received a Tony Award, Grammy Award, and the Pulitzer Prize, has delighted audiences since it premiered 67 years ago. This lush musical, celebrating community and family, is a classic not to be missed!

"If ever a show earned its exclamation point, it's this one!" — Wall Street Journal, 2002

"There's nothing corny about this wonderful, fresh show. It's not just a classic American musical but—and this is the real surprise—a truthful, touching and gripping drama about growing up and falling in love, about dreams and nightmares." — London Daily Mail, 1998
